Radox Shower Mousse Feel Bright 200ml

Not a morning person? If we’re being honest, who is? Just because you’re up earlier doesn’t mean you like it. Besides, early mornings don’t necessarily mean an easier start.

If, like most of us, your morning routine is made up of mad sprints to and from the bathroom in an attempt to get ready – then it’s time to boost your morning shower routine. You won’t believe the power of an efficient shower – you ready?

Get yourself organized

A big part of our morning routine is spent figuring out what to wear. Pulling pieces from your wardrobe and flinging them on the bed or tossing them aside because they’re too creased. So, plan, iron and hang up your outfit the night before, that way you get at least an extra 5-10 minutes in the shower.

Forget about me-time in the morning

A hot shower in the morning is blissful, but also a time-consuming trap. What was meant to be a five-minute rinse always turns into a thirty-minute stint. There’s the initial moment of soaking up all the steam and warmth on the shower steps, but then suddenly there’s a full facial going on, a hair mask, belting out your favourite songs – you know how it goes. Save the pampering for a relaxing bubble bath. If you’re serious about speeding up your morning routine, whilst still having time for a shower and shave, you’re going to have to make a few compromises.

Shower and shave

When it comes to your beauty routine, be selective about what you use. For your morning shower and shave, double up on a shower mousse  that works as an all-over cleansing cream as well as a shaving cream. If you do a small shave each morning it won’t take as long as shaving once a week. Apply all over, quickly shave your legs (or if it’s winter, just the ankles will do) and rinse. Easy. If you don’t need to shave, still make sure you’re using a moisturising shower cream to care for your skin.

Hair hacks

Firstly, hair. It’s one of the most time-consuming parts of our morning routine. Let’s get out of the habit of washing it every morning. Besides, those natural oils your hair produces are good for it. If you’re going to wash your hair, new rule: do it the night before.

Put on a timer

Using a timer helps you keep track, so you don’t get lost in a shower and shave routine. Better yet, play two of your favourite songs and once they’re complete that’s your cue to get moving. It’s also a nice way to pick up that positive morning mood and who doesn’t love to sing along in the shower, let’s be honest.

You don’t have to wake up at the crack of dawn to get yourself ready for the day. With the right morning routine, a bit of planning, preparation and an easy to use, moisturising shower mousse – life can be a whole lot easier. Not to mention, if you start the day off right, you might find that you enjoy it a little more.
